Crannich Holiday Caravans & Campsite is situated on a 150-acre working farm in Glen Aros, centrally located on the Isle of Mull between the villages of Salen and Dervaig. This tranquil and secluded retreat offers panoramic views of the glen, Loch Frisa, and the River Aros, with the distant Morvern hills and stunning sunsets. Its rural setting, nestled away from main roads, provides an ideal and quiet base for exploring all areas of Mull, while also being close to forest cycle trails and numerous walking opportunities.
The accommodation at Crannich comprises both self-catering holiday caravans and a small campsite for touring vehicles. There are typically four modern, well-equipped holiday caravans, each designed to sleep up to four people, featuring central heating, WiFi, individual gardens with picnic tables, and private parking. These static caravans include a double room, a twin room, a bathroom with shower, and an open-plan living area with a fully fitted kitchen. The campsite offers six spacious hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-ups, specifically designed for motorhomes, campervans, and touring caravans, ensuring ample space and privacy between units.
Beyond the accommodation, Crannich is renowned for its abundant wildlife, being located within the territory of Mull’s famous white-tailed eagles, Skye and Frisa, and regularly offering sightings of golden eagles, hen harriers, and other bird species directly from the site. Guests have access to high-quality campsite facilities including a shower/WC unit, covered washing-up area, clothes drying area, and waste disposal points. The working farm also provides opportunities to meet Highland cattle, sheep, and horses, with farm tours available by arrangement. Additionally, fishing is possible (with a permit) on the nearby River Aros and Loch Frisa.
