Iona Campsite

Situated just a short walk from the village and ferry, the Iona Campsite holds the unique title of being the only camping spot on the beautiful Isle of Iona. This tiny Hebridean island offers visitors an incredible chance to explore historic landmarks like the famous Iona Abbey and pristine sandy beaches. With breathtaking coastal views in every direction, it is the absolute perfect destination for a peaceful and scenic island getaway.

Embracing a natural and basic camping experience, the site features spacious non electric grass pitches. Because visitors cannot bring vehicles onto the island without a blue badge, campers leave their cars in Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull and travel over as foot passengers. A local taxi is available upon arrival to help transport your gear, ensuring a wonderfully quiet and car free environment where you can truly unplug and relax.

Despite its remote charm, the campsite provides all the essential amenities you need for a highly comfortable stay. Guests have access to five hot showers and five toilets, along with a washing up area, recycling points, and convenient charging stations for your devices. In the evenings, you can even gather around the dedicated firepit and barbecue area to share stories and cook dinner under the starry Scottish sky.
