Salen Bay Campsite

Salen Bay Campsite, located on the Isle of Mull, offers a tranquil and scenic camping experience with breathtaking 360-degree views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Situated just a short walk from Salen village, it provides easy access to local amenities while maintaining a peaceful, off-the-beaten-track feel.

The campsite offers a variety of pitches, including hard-standing pitches with water and optional electric hook-up, grass pitches for tents and small vans (some with electric hook-up), and grass pitches specifically for tents. An Astroturf pitch for tents with optional electric hook-up is also available. Facilities are modern and well-maintained, featuring three Portakabin shower/toilet blocks (including an accessible one with a baby changing area), a sheltered washroom with sinks and power sockets, and a “Bothy” for a cozy retreat with charging points, a kitchen table, freezer, and coin-operated washer and dryer.

Beyond the campsite, guests have access to over 100 acres of open shoreline, perfect for exploring, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or shoreline fishing. The campsite welcomes on-site BBQs and small raised fires (with protective block bases provided). It’s a family-friendly and pet-friendly site, making it an ideal base for exploring the diverse wildlife and natural beauty of Mull.
