Whitetail Gin Distillery

Whitetail Gin is a premium gin distilled on the picturesque Isle of Mull, deeply inspired by the majestic white-tailed eagles that inhabit the island. The distillery, housed on the Tiroran Estate, marked a significant milestone as it became Mull’s first new distillery in over 220 years when production moved back to the island in June 2019.

The gin is crafted with a unique blend of sustainably sourced botanicals, including classic gin ingredients like juniper, coriander, and lemon peel. What truly sets Whitetail Gin apart are the botanicals native to Mull, hand-foraged from the family estate and the shores of Loch Scridain. These include heather, winter savoury, pine needles, and sea kelp, which impart distinctive coastal and floral notes to the spirit. Distilled at 47% ABV, Whitetail Gin is known for its balance of strength and smoothness, offering a juniper-forward taste with hints of citrus, spice, and the ocean.

Whitetail Gin has received recognition for its quality, including a Silver Medal at the 2018 World Gin Awards and a Silver at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge. The distillery also features a shop and a café, offering visitors the chance to experience their products and local treats.
