Route and Conditions
The route comprised fourteen special stages across north and west Mull. Friday night included stages through Aros, Dervaig and Tobermory. Saturday featured longer daylight sections around Salen, Gruline and Calgary Bay. Conditions varied: damp patches affected the night stages and grip improved for the drier Saturday runs. Most front-running crews started on wet-weather tyres for Friday before switching to medium compounds on Saturday. Service areas were based at Craignure and Tobermory.

Retirements and Mechanical Issues
Several crews retired during the event. Notable withdrawals included Dave Thwaites / Rhys Edwards, Sandy Arbuthnott / Ian Arbuthnott, and Finn Thomasson / Simon Thomasson, each of whom stopped before the final leg. Malcolm Davey / Mark Broadbent retired after mechanical problems near Glen More. The majority of the entered field completed the event and finished on the ramp in Tobermory.
Summary
Paul MacKinnon and Paul Beaton won the 2025 Mull Rally with a consistent performance across all stages. Fergus Barlow and Heather MacCrone finished second overall and won their class. The two-wheel-drive and historic classes produced competitive times with Escorts placing well inside the top ten. With the event complete for another year, attention will move toward the next season and potential challengers to the top positions.
