The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Battalion Army Cadets has a detachment on the Isle of Mull, which is part of its D (Argyll) Company. This organization provides a unique and structured environment for young people to challenge themselves and develop new skills. The battalion is committed to empowering the next generation through a shared focus on leadership, discipline, and community service. The cadet force aims to build confidence and character in its members.

The cadets on Mull are offered a wide range of adventurous activities and training designed to promote personal growth. These include learning fieldcraft and survival skills, marksmanship, and engaging in physically challenging team exercises. Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in navigation and orienteering, fostering a deep appreciation for the outdoors and developing a sense of independence and resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

The program is open to young people between the ages of 12 and 18, and it provides a great opportunity for fun, friendship, and personal development. By embracing a variety of outdoor activities and structured learning, the Army Cadets prepare its members for the future by instilling important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and a sense of responsibility.
