Skerryvore Bed and Breakfast

Skerryvore Bed and Breakfast Iona is a friendly, family-run accommodation located on the tranquil west side of the island. Named after the famous lighthouse visible from the property, Skerryvore offers spectacular, panoramic sea views over the Machair and the Atlantic Ocean. Situated approximately one mile from the ferry pier, the B&B provides a peaceful retreat, conveniently bordering the Iona Golf Course. Owned and run by Lindsay and Joyce McIntyre, Skerryvore offers a high level of personal service, making it an excellent base for exploring the sacred isle.

The B&B provides comfortable accommodation in well-appointed, en-suite bedrooms (one twin, one kingsize double), which are located on the upper floor of their architect-designed home. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge, which boasts the best views of the spectacular Iona sunsets. A unique feature of Skerryvore is the fully equipped guest kitchen, offering visitors the convenience of making their own evening meals, although a full cooked breakfast is provided each morning. The property is open year-round and offers dinner by arrangement during the winter months.

A significant advantage for guests is the B&B’s connection to the island’s only taxi service (also run by the owners), offering a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service upon arrival and departure at Iona Pier. Skerryvore is set in its own large garden with outdoor seating and provides free use of golf clubs and bicycles, encouraging guests to explore the nearby sandy expanse of the Bay at the Back of the Ocean. Advance booking is essential due to the limited number of rooms.
